Nagpur: From 2.93% of city roads owned by the State Public Works Department (PWD), the majority of them are in adverse conditions, giving a difficult time for motorists.

According to Tejinder Singh Renu, the Secretary of the Vidarbha Taxpayer Association, driving in many PWD roads, especially those in the Civil Line and Seminer Hill, have become unsafe.
“During the rain, it really became a challenge,” he said.
The streets in the second capital of Maharashtra will usually be repaired before the assembly winter session.
But because sessions have not been held due to pandemic, repair work has stopped.
“But what stops the PWD from keeping the path in a good motorized condition?” Renu said.
Renu asks who must be responsible for “some small accidents that might occur every day on the road like that”.
“PWD must repair the road without further delay,” he urged the state government to hold a winter session in Nagpur, “if it was needed to repair the road”.
The owner of the city road from Jalan 3642.08km in the city, 2482.94km is under NMC.
Nhai has around 29.80 km of roads in the city limits while Nit and PWD have 965,320 km and 107.02km.
In addition, PWD also has a patch ring ring in 41km.
