But despite the best effort, the fire did not last the night he spent shivering.

The disaster management department has provided fund sanctions needed for campfires but due to administrative irregularities, beneficiaries have been abandoned high and dry.

After the disaster management department released funds, it was the responsibility of Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) to regulate campfires in the city while circle officers were entrusted with work to regulate in rural areas.
RMC and district administration officials are busy past money.
RMC Deputy Commissioner of Kota Rajnish Kumar, said, “This arrangement was carried out by the district administration, it was their job.” But the Mayor of Asha Lakra admitted that it was RMC’s responsibility, “and we hope to launch it from Albert Ekka Square in one or two days,” he said.

Assistant collector Rajesh Kumar Barwar, who is responsible for making arrangements in non-city areas, funds have been allocated.
“The order has been issued for each circle (CO) officer for the withdrawal of money given.
The process of withdrawal will begin from Monday and will be wrapped in two days,” Barwar said.
Deputy Ranchi Commissioner (DC) Chavvi Ranjan, who is responsible for adjusting a campfire and night shelter for homeless people, do not answer calls or text messages.
