Homework: K’Taka Min Voices will be compensated for the WFA culture

Bengaluru: The State Government tries to increase the level of work ability by providing better job training and creating opportunities in city centers, but the culture of work from anywhere (WFA) causes obstacles, the Minister of CN Skills Development Ashwath Narayan said on Monday.
He responded to the question raised by the Hariprasad MLC BK Congress, which quoted a survey of the work ability in Bengaluru.
According to the survey, technology capital has been able to improve the work capacity of only 4 percent, while Hyderabad and Pune each recorded 10 percent and 13 percent rise.
Narayan said that the Covid-19 crisis posed a challenge.
“While our department deals with only providing training and makes people ready for industry, pandemics have slowed the process of equipping people with the set of skills needed to secure work.
Also, the work policy anywhere adopted by the company is creating local employment concerns , “Minister said.
Narayan said that the survey was only one of many with differential results, adding that he was confident that the economy would see strong recovery and produce more work in the coming months.
Detailing government efforts, he said that agents have held 1,033 work exhibits and interviews running in the last three years and produced jobs for more than 1.1 lakh people.
The remote work has received extensive reception after Covid-19.
But transportation operators and housekeeping companies are not happy because the model has affected their business.
“Since the WFH became the norm, many drivers have lost their livelihoods.
The company has stopped spreading vehicles for staff and reducing outstation trips,” said Radhakrishna Holla from the Karnataka state travel operator association.
