Noida / Ghaziabad: The number of people affected by a disease transmitted by vectors has increased in both districts and doctors say they will come some patients who suffer from fever at least for several days.
Ghaziabad has reported 72 dengue cases so far this year and eight of them detected on Friday itself.
In Noida, even though the Ministry of Health has not yet recorded a single dengue case this year, according to the doctor at the Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, at least two dengue patients have been to the hospital recently.
Staff to staff in several laboratories and private hospitals, who did not want to be identified, also said they had cases of dengue fever and some patients also needed hospitalization.
“We get some patients with fever almost every day.
Recently, we have seen several cases of malaria and at least two bloody fever patients too.
Because this is the latest incident, official reports may not be updated,” said Brigadier (retirees) from Rakesh Gupta, Director, GIMS.
Officials said Ghaziabad had told two cases to Noida recently but they were being seen.
“We got information from Ghaziabad about two patients treated at Yashoda Hospital and Columbia Asia there.
But we are investigating it and that is why we have not confirmed two cases.

All private facilities must notify the Ministry of Health and send samples to confirm if there is a disease that is notified, including dengue, malaria, and a typhus scrub.
In Noida, some residents have claimed that they have dengue fever patients in their sectors and their tests are carried out in private laboratories.
At least two such cases are said to be in sectors 137 and two in sector 75.
“The Ministry of Health must take the right steps in these fields,” said Abhisht Gupta from Sector 137.
In Ghaziabad, the latest dengue cases were reported from Pratap Vihar, Cheeranjeevi Vihar, Govindpuram, Nandgram and Dasna.
Administration has directed civil bodies and the Ministry of Health to intensify the anti-larval drive and RK Singh district judges are monitoring patients.
