Yavatmal: Delhi Doctor who was tricked by RS2 Crore by 22-year-old mandan sandesh (deceased) from Yavatmal, is now under the scanner of the Department of Income Tax (I-T) for its source of income.
The police have recovered RS1.74 crore’s cash from Malekar, which – said Police Supervisor (SP) Dr.
Dilip Patil Bhujbal – has been stored in Treasury Regency.
The court has been told thus, Bhujbal added.
SP said the police had brought cash to notice the I-T department.
“We have asked them to call a doctor to explain how he gathered a large number,” Bhujbal said, adding that the doctor must reveal his source of income.
Bhujbal further said that the doctor will be given money only after he satisfies investigative officers and I-T officials.
“The legal process must be followed before a refund given,” SP is added.
Meanwhile, the doctor has transferred the application at the Yavatmal Court to return the amount confiscated by the police from Honeytrap Mastermind Malekar in Arunodaya Society.
Missar died of suicide on Jalan Darwha which was flat on Thursday night.
The 22-year-old child was released with guarantees and remained with his relatives after being arrested by cyber cells from Yavatmal police.
