Yavatmal: The detention of police detainees from the mastermind of Madu Sandesh Malekar, who had lured and managed to deceive Delhi’s doctor in a tone of RS2 Crore, extended until September 11.
Mankar, was arrested last Saturday, produced in front of the court after PCR afterwards ended on Tuesday.
During the interrogation, the defendant had claimed to have committed several other crimes, said SDPO Madhuri Biviskar, who was investigating this case.
Mankar also revealed its social media connection with several TV serial celebrities and several industrialists, said Biviskar, added, “We have recovered a convenience record.” The police said the defendant had been friends with Delhi doctor by creating a fake social media profile of a girl Anyasingh Oberoi as an entrepreneur who has a business in the Gulf countries.
During interactions on social media, ‘Anyasingh’ offered a doctor to accompany him to foreign countries.
The defendant had weaved the kidnapping story to deceive the doctor and received RS2 Crore in cash from him.
After realizing that he had been cheated, the doctor was accompanied by a lawyer to meet Yavatmal SP, Patil Bhujbal last Saturday.
SP has formed a special team that captures the mankar in 5-6 hours and recovers RS1.78 crore’s cash from him.
Bhujbal has announced the RS50,000 cash award for the police who managed to raise the culprit.
