A young man and cousin was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Panipath Court for killing the former-in-law for the wedding of inter-caste.
In order on October 27, the Panipat Session Judge Mana Batra observed that the defendant had committed the murder of “innocent young people”.
The murder has occurred on January 1 this year, only 45 days after married couple.
The victim, Neeraj (25), returned home to celebrate the new year with his wife comal and his family when both of them accused the vijay’s brother and his cousin Pawan, stopped him at Bhawnna Chowk, about 500 meters from home.
There is an argument, after that Neeraj is kicked and contacted.
The duo then took out the knife and stabbed him to death.
The Public Prosecutor Arvind Sharma said after the murder, the two men went to the victim’s house and in front of Fath-Er Gulshan, they told the comal that they had killed her husband.
In his complaint to the police, Gulshan accused after Neeraj and Komal married, Vijay was not happy with the match and took a grudge against his son.
The case is listed below section 302 (murder) and 34 (general intentions) IPC and part of Act Act.
Vijay and Pawan were arrested on January 3 and claimed to be a crime, police said.
“The motive for the murder is that the victim has a love marriage with a sister who is accused of their desire,” Sharma said.
