After Samsung and Huawei, the next company to make a foldable phone could be Huawei’s sub-brand Honor, according to a report by PhoneArena.
As per the report, the brand has got two trademarks registered in China with the names of ‘Honor Magic Fold’ and ‘Honor Magic Flip’ which could be a giveaway to the types of the foldable devices in the works.
While the former is believed to launch as a rival to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, the latter could be designed to rival the Galaxy Z Flip 3 or Motorola Razr.
The phone(s) could launch either late this year itself or in the first quarter of 2022, predicts the report.
These two aren’t the only trademarks Honor has gone for.
There is ‘Honor Flex’, which could be a rollable phone, the ‘Honor Pad’ and ‘Honor Pen’ too.
Lastly, there is ‘Honor Earbuds’, which could be a set of true wireless earbuds from the manufacturer.
Though it cannot be said with any certainty that all the trademarked products will see the light of day, at least some of them could and foldable and rollable phones look to be promising.
