Patna: Hooch’s death continues in dry Bihar with three more deaths suspected of consumption of toxic liquor that occurred in Kanti in Muzaffarpur district on Tuesday.
One person underwent treatment at a private hospital in Kanti.

The incident occurred even after the hard action in the massive state against the smuggling of liquor after the consecutive Hooch incident in Gopalganj, West Champaran and Samastipur Regency since Diwali Hawa.
This is the case of the seventh hooch poisoning in Bihar in less than a month that is rumored to claim at least 59 lives.
Now overall 17 HOOCH incidents, including four in Muzaffarpur, has occurred throughout the country claiming at least 112 lives until now since January this year.
This figure includes them too whose body is cremated without informing more and no post-mortem is done.
When asked, Muzaffarpur SSP Jayant Kant told Ti by telephone on Tuesday that members of the people who died were received before the police that they had consumed liquor during campaigning from the Pancrayat election and then returned home on November 7.
He said that the family of two deceased cremated their bodies in a hurry on Tuesday morning while the police could do post-mortem performed.
“It was confirmed that they had consumed liquor and fell ill from Monday,” said SSP.
DSP (West) Abhishek Anand told this newspaper by telephone that those who died on Tuesday was Sumit Kumar aka Gopi Patel (25) from Sirissiya Village, Ashok Rai (50) from Bariyarpur and Rambabu Rai (67) from Kantipuri, All Under Kanti Area station.
“One Dilip Rai (53) Bariarpur is still under care at a private hospital,” he said.
“Rambabu was also accepted at the hospital where dilip was taken but was killed in treatment.
From the hospital documents, the police learned that Rambabu lost his vision, very vomiting and suffering from abdominal pain,” Anand said while replying to the question if the symptoms are typical of poisoning hooch or not.
DSP said that Sumit and Ashok were also under treatment in private hospitals but then family members took them home and they died in the morning.
“Their bodies are immediately cremated.
Only Rambabu’s body can be sent for post-mortem,” he said.
Anand said that there were no arrests or spasms in connection with three fresh deaths had not been carried out in Kanti.
