New Delhi: Congress MP Deepender Hooda personally welcomed the Winner of the Olympic medal at Delhi Airport on Monday, registering the presence of the opposition party in the midst of a rush of the Olympic medal winner.
Deepender, the son of former Minister Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hood, met many medal winners, including the winners of gold and Javelin champion of the Chopra Neeraj, who came from their country.
While loading Ravi Dahiya, Bajrang Punia, Neeraj Chopra and Wrestler Deepak Punia, among others, with a bouquet and scarf, Deepender said the sportsmen of the Hanyana provided sterling performance in Tokyo.
He told Chopra that “he has made every Indian proud of his gold medal.” He said their hard work for years had produced results.
