Ranchi: Senior Police Supervisor Surendra Kumar Jha assured the Jharkhand High Court here on Wednesday to arrest an advocate attacker Manoj Jha immediately.
The lawyer was shot dead in Tamar on July 26.
Jha appeared before the division bench from Chairman of the Chair of the Ravi Rajan and Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad while hearing the petition submitted by the Advocate Court, Jharkhand High Court.
The court stated disappointed at the incident Jha was shot by bad people.
The bench while directing the SSP to accelerate the investigation also said that the death of an advocate in the extensive daylight was very serious.
The culprit must be arrested immediately, the judges said.
SSP, Ranchi told the court that the investigation had begun and the killer would soon be arrested.
Manoj Jha’s advocate was in Tamar on July 26, when some criminals fired and shot him while he sat in his car.
The source said that the lawyer was in Tamar for the construction of the boundary wall on a 14-hectare land and his death was related to land disputes.
Meanwhile, there is hatred in legal brotherhood throughout the country condemning the terrible murder of Manoj Jha’s advocate.
The Jharkhand State Bar Board has also taken a letter to the Director General of Police urged him to ensure a quick investigation into this matter.
Advocate Association, Jharkhand Secretary General of the High Court Navin Kumar said that even though the High Court had not treated a petition as a pill but had passed the order to direct SSP Ranchi to accelerate the direct arrest of the Manoj Jha killer.
