New Delhi: Delhi Commission for Children’s Rights Protection (DCPCR) has issued a notification to private hospitals in the national capital for allegedly demanding Rs 1 lakh from a woman who has a premature baby.
According to the DCPCR notice, the incident occurred on February 4 when the woman, who needed urgent medical attention after giving a premature baby, was taken to the Rainbow Madhukar Children’s Hospital in Malviya Nagar Southern Delhi.
The notice claimed that the hospital government denied entering patients with the reason for the alleged non-availability of the EWS bed.
It also demanded Rs 1 lakh from patients to enter the hospital.
There is no direct response from the hospital for allegations.
DCPCR has asked the hospital to send CCTV footage from the reception area and the EWS bed status at the facility at 10:30 a.m.

Also requested a medical supervisor from the hospital to appear before reply on February 11 with a reply to the notification.
The Commission has asked the chairman of the Child Welfare Committee, South Regency, to attend the investigation process.
