Chennai: This center has provided Rs 800 Crore as part of the Covid-19 assistance package for the second wave management and the third wave prevention, MA Health Minister Subramanian said on Thursday.
Subramanian spoke to reporters after meeting the Minister of Health of the Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi.
The state has demanded 1,500 crore rs against management and prevention of epidemics, he said.
“They immediately gave Rs 800 Crore.
After we spent this, they will review our proposal and add more funds,” he said.
The state is looking for additional vaccine doses.
“We need at least 12 crore vaccine doses, but we have so far only received 1.7 doses of crores.
More people are now queuing for vaccines, hesitants who batches.

The state urges the center to accelerate the setting of vaccine manufacturing units at IVC in Chengalpet and Pasteur Institute in Coonor.
