DARBHANGA: A three-member question committee constituted by district magistrate (DM) Thiyagrajan S M has reported a private hospital required an extra amount of Rs 1.12 lakh from a Ajit Kumar Singh whose child, Dilip, expired during Covid-19 therapy on Saturday night.
The panel also has recommended initiation of legal actions from the hospital.
A resident of Baheri block, Dilip Was confessed to Paras Global Hospital at Darbhanga on May 21.
The committee also has said in its report the Covid individual wasn’t treated as per the prescribed instructions and administered lots of unnecessary medications.
Though he had been on ventilator for just 3 times, his dad was billed money for fourteen days.

The panel also has pointed out the patient’s health bill ought to haven’t surpassed Rs 1.18 lakh on the basis of the charges given by the state authorities for Covid therapy.
But, his household was billed Rs 2.30 lakh.
The DM informed this reporter Wednesday that the hospital was advised to return Rs 1.12 lakh to the kin of the deceased.
“Legal action is very likely to be initiated from the hospital,” he added.
