Coimbatore: A public relations officer (PRO) of a private hospital in Saravanampatti has been reserved for neglecting to return an individual’s golden chain weighing 10 sovereigns.
The Saravanampatti authorities stated 45-year-old Shanthi, of Ramanathapuram, had passed over the series to a staff nurse in the Dr Muthu’s Hospital, where she had been declared with Covid-19, although she had been changed into the intensive care unit May 25, asking her to keep it secure.
When Shanthi requested the team nurse to reunite the series a couple of days before, a police officer explained that the latter told that the series was passed on into the hospital PRO, Prabhakaran, for security reasons.
“Shanthi fulfilled Prabhakaran, who didn’t give her a suitable reply.
She subsequently approached hospital supervisor Ravichandran and he also held a query with Prabhakaran, that also said that the series had been missing from his desk.” The supervisor assessed the CCTV footage found driver Dheepan taking the golden chain in the desk.
“Dheepan advised the hospital control it had been Prabhakaran who requested him to find the gold chain out of his office desk.
But, Prabhakaran has denied the charges,” the officer stated.
