PANAJI: Minister of Health Vishwajit Rane on Thursday said Hosptiio Hospital Lama in Margao will start shifting to the South Goa District Hospital, which is used exclusively for Covid-19 patients.

Toi has reported about the acute space crunch in the old Hospicio, which caused the trouble of patients who were forced to wait outside the hospital building without the cover above.
The patient was repatriated earlier and sent to peripheral due to lack of beds.
Hundreds of patients visit the OPD and hospital victims every day.
On the contrary, the residence at the South Goa District Hospital is currently only 14.
Covid-19 patients only occupy a single ward and hospital almost empty.
The drug Hospicio OPD itself sees around 200 patients every day and excessive density does not leave space for social distance.
Last year, before the rainy season, Hospicio has moved all OPDs to the District Hospital and Ward Medicine, which received the highest number of patients.
It then moved back after the bed at the hospital was asked for Covid-19Patients.
The re-shift is expected to be easier at this time because the district hospital has been running with all the facilities in the place and the authorities do not need to shift equipment from the old hospital as they did last year.
