Rajkot: The receptionist from upscale hotels in the city where the crime branch detective has broken gambling on Wednesday was arrested by the police on Thursday.
The hotel manager, John Kuria Kosh, will also be arrested after he returned from Ahmedabad, a police officer who had arrested 10 people from the room on Wednesday.
The police said that the receptionist Priti Patel had given the room to the gamblers at Kosh’s orders even when the last Aadhaar card had been found it for a record hotel did not match one of the occupants of the room.
The police also said that Kosh was the key person when he instructed Patel to provide rooms after being approached by the main gambler Narendrasinh Jadeja.
To facilitate the entry record, Kosh has given aadhaar card from one Sohil Kothiya, a resident of Surendranagar in his absence, to Patel.
During the investigation, the police also knew that the hotel room had been used for gambling activities over the past month.
Gambler came there for four times by paying the room rate of Rs 15,000.
For one match, they usually issued Rs 500.
The police have also taken Rs 10.2 lakh cash, in addition to 13 cellphones and two SUV cars from the gamblers.
