Lucknow: The case of dengue fever continues to devote from the disease hotspot on Thursday.
At least 20 residents of Aliganj, Turiyaganj, Alambagh, NK Road, and Indiranagar were diagnosed with diseases transmitted through vectors after the Elisa test confirmation.
This location is part of 15 hotspots from where around 20 cases are being recorded every day for the past seven days.
In fact, of 275 cases reported in November, more than 90% (248) came from this hotspot.
Among patients, five were hospitalized after the depletion of platelets below 25,000, while others recover at home.
With this, Dengue Caseload has gone to 1,488 since January and 1,397 since September.
The Ministry of Health officials hoped that there would be a fall in the number of cases in November but the case of dengue fever continues to appear with an average of 16 cases every day.
“We hope the maximum temperature will fall below 26 degrees Celsius and as a result, there will be a reduction in the average case of everyday.
However, until now, there has been no significant decrease in maximum temperature,” said a senior officer in the Ministry of Health .
People must remain cautious and avoid the accumulation of water in and around the house as a decrease in temperature, he added.
Meanwhile, in its sustainable campaign for the control of the Zika virus, the Ministry of Health team took blood samples from 94 people in Safdabar, NK Road, Alambagh, Lda Colony and Azadnagar on the Kanpom road to become a symptom for Zika.
In addition, 106 people were tested negatively for Zika.
Their sample was taken after two people tested the virus positive on Wednesday.
