House credibility is related to the behavior of its members: Om Birla

New Delhi: Speaker Lok Sabha Om Birla said sadness that the incident of unparliummer’s behavior from public representatives has increased in recent years, which has tarnished the image of democratic institutions.
He spoke after inaugurating the 81st all Indian officer conferences, which were attended by officers of the Legislative Chairman of the State.
“The legislative credibility is associated with their members’ behavior and which is why members are expected to observe the highest disciplinary and decorum standards, both inside and outside the legislature,” said Birla.
He suggested that the agenda for the next conference in 2022 must be, “discipline and decorum in democratic institutions and ensure transparency and accountability in these institutions.” Inter Parliament President Union Duarte Pacheco and aging other country officers participated through video conferencing.
