In the midst of many Hue and Cry, Apple launched the Transparency Transparency App (ATT) feature earlier this year with iOS 14.5.
This feature allows users to maintain online privacy and prevent third party marketers from tracking them all the time.
However, a report by Wall Street Journal suggested that advertisers now shift to Android because of this feature.
The report cites data from the Analytics Tenjin Company, which has revealed that expenditures on the iOS platform are reduced by one third between June and July.
During the same time, advertising on the Android platform has risen by around 10%.
Privacy does come with ‘costs’ in accordance with the report, Ad Tinuitas agent states that post attenders, advertisers cannot bid for advertisements targeted on the iPhone.
Advertisers moved to Android with requests for target ads on Android jumping from growth of 46% year-to-year in May to 64% in June.

Although iOS still sees growth, rates have fallen for iOS in recent months, especially because of Apple’s encouragement in privacy.
During the same period of time, the Android growth rate has risen.

A survey suggested that 91% of iPhone users in the US choose the option instead of tracking.

“While we expect iOS 14.5 to be headwind for the rest of the year, the impact on our business will be managed,” said Facebook before about ATT features.
However, a report by AppleInsider shows that Facebook can benefit from it as most users in many countries using Android through iOS.
The Android ad rates have risen and this might help many companies, including Facebook.
