New Delhi: From the scanning of CCTV footage, interrogated local residents to analyze 2,500 calls to the police control room, identifying Dinesh Yadav – which was sentenced to five years in prison in the case of riots – not an easy task for the police.
A team of officials, including Pramod Joshi Inspector, then Sho of Gokulpuri ASI Gajraj Singh, an investigative officer under the guidance of Sanjay Kumar Sain, DCP (Northeast), has worked on the case file.
Investigation systems for efficient handling riots have ensured better results in ongoing cases.
The police team analyzed thousands of CCTV and Yadav recordings seen in one, involved in combustion and arrested.
Yadav also admitted that he, along with a horde, had burned a 75-year-old Manori house.
A total of 15 witnesses, including local police and those who live in the area, were examined who stated that they had seen the defendant near the victim’s house during the riots.
