How does the country, the company rushes medical assistance to Karnataka

Bengaluru: Since May, the Karnataka government has received 8,310 oxygen and cylinder concentrators, 6,525 ventilators, a large number of drugs and other resources for Covid-19 battles of Indian and international donors.
During the second wave, the government has appointed an Nodal officer and the team to secure and trace the consignment of large companies, organizations and foreign governments.
The state has also received financial assistance Rs 37 Crore from public sector units and private entity programs’ Corporate Responsibility (CSR) since April.
The money was donated to the Covid Ministerial Aid Fund (RS 11 Crore) and the Karnataka State Disaster Management Authority (RS 26 Crore).
During the second wave, the country wrestling with high covid leaning and lack of medical oxygen, beds and drugs.
Americares India Foundation donated 250 5 LPM oxygen concentrators, 10 10 LPM concentrators, 10,000 PPE kits and 2,500 N95 masks.
Kuwait, the Czech Republic, UAE, Singapore and the US sent concentrators, cylinders and medicines.
The country received 25,000 bottles of remedies from Egypt and America and 76,800 favipiravir doses from the UAE.
“There is an outpouring of support from foreign governments and civil society.
We have worked continuously with several NGOs and also strengthens medical infrastructure in the state,” said Karnataka Nodal Officer Uma Mahadevan.
The equipment received was given to all district hospitals and to government medical facilities in Bengaluru, depending on the demand raised by the Deputy Commissioner and BBMP.
The government plans to provide several medical equipment, including cylinders and concentrators, to primary health care centers (PHC) and sub-centers.
“After the District Hospital and Taluk add to their liquid medical oxygen facilities and regulate the PSA oxygen generator, the available equipment will be forwarded to PHC, sub-centers and health facilities,” said KV Trilok Chandra Health Commissioner.
According to Commissioner KSDMA Manoj Ranjan, the income department has received Rs 79 Crore since April 2020 and a number of RS 34.1 Crore was last given for Covid assistance in September last year.
“Of this amount, Rs 14.5 Crore came from private companies to handle Covid-19,” he said.
