Several years ago, KPMG clients, professional services and accounting companies, asked the company to help them overcome the threat of online fraud – such as a fake website that sells fake Louis Vuitton bags.
The problem is that there is no technology that can simultaneously monitor all websites that sell Louis Vuitton branded handbags and then helped lower the fraud site in a short time.
So, the Indian Team KPMG built a solution from the start called the Digital Signals Insights (DSIP) platform in 2017 to provide their clients calm cyber.
This platform has so far detected around 25,000 threats for 70 KPMG clients and has prevented more than 15,000 frauds from happening throughout the world.
This platform helps clients identify, assess and act on insight into a series of digital risks, said Akhilesh Teetja, Head of Global Cyber Security Consultation and Head of Indian Digital Consultant at KPMG.
“DSIP is a smart platform, always-on that constantly monitors the coming threaten arising from cyber, social, cellphone shop, dark web and web surface.
It also provides a special real-time dashboard, insight and threat categorization that can be followed up In real-time to allow Takedown, “he said.
Building a platform takes a combined effort from a big team.
Bots that can be configured, fire and crawlers must be programmed to monitor the upcoming threats, negative sentiment, and red flag keywords.
This platform is also designed to notify users to dangerous traffic domains or brand violation cases.
Reverse image search algorithm is used to help identify the logo or violation of the image.
“Under the hood, engine learning, and AI powered machines carry out constant threat categorization to help clients track potential fraud,” said Tutieja.
The team, Teenja said, used an unusual combination of skills.
“We bring people who understand Siber’s security, analytical data, large data, AI & ML, and even patterns of behavior and psychology,” he said.
The platform has widened within the scope of its initial conception.
The team must continue to adapt to the scenario of new digital threats.
When they started working in 2017, the aim was to identify fake websites.
Over time, they realize that many of the same actors or criminals also steal data from the social media platform.
So they built the feature at.
“Later, we have to enter dark web monitoring into the platform, when criminals migrate there.
Now, this platform is in the third generation, and has a variety of potential use cases,” said Teenja.
