Meerut / Muzaffarnagar: Since September last year when farmers began their protest against new agricultural laws, Khaps who were strong – not only from Western up but also Punjab and Haryana – have become a lifeline line of agitation.
They come together to share the same platform with the sole purpose to provide full support, from sending tractor trolleys for transportation to regulate funds and food all the time.
These Khaps ensure that there is no allowance in logistical support on the border of Delhi.
In fact, the Khap leaders continue to urge the family to make food arrangements and resides for farmers who are nervous in various protest sites.
Baba Surajmal from Batisa Khap in the West said in Shamli on Friday, “There is no war that can be won without logistical support.
Khaps has become a lifeline of this movement.
Khaps should not be seen as separate from farmers.” Jitender Singh Huda from Huda Khap added, “What RSS to BJP, Khap is a farmer’s movement.
