In 2016, at the Talkshow held by Anupam Kher, Madhuri Dixit narrated his first meeting account with Shriram Nene.
He said that everything began in Los Angeles when his brother cunningly invited Nene’s family to their homes.
He felt that once everyone would leave his family will encourage him and ask him about one person in particular.

However, when he came to Shriram Nene, he was really impressed with him and for the first time, he claimed that he liked it.
The fact that Shriram did not know who he was, and knew him first as a person and then as a film star, was very refreshing for Madhuri.
After that, both decided to tie the knot and for years Madhuri lived in the US.
