How new Apple App Store rules provide more options to developers

Apple has officially changed its rules to enable application developers to highlight alternative purchasing options outside the application, and also to communicate more directly with customers.
This upgrade was carried out two months after reaching a settlement with several developers in the upper class action lawsuit how he managed the App Store for the iPhone and iPad.
New rules, Apple encoded in changes in the three guidelines, allows developers to request names and email information from users, so far it is optional and not the necessary parts of their application.
Apple also said it would not allow developers to gather information about children.
As part of the email, Apple will also allow developers to direct people to alternative payment methods, such as websites where one can buy a subscription connected to the application.
After publishing updates, Apple said, “App Store is a safe and trusted place for customers to find and download applications, and great opportunities for developers'”.
This step marks Apple’s latest efforts to adjust how to manage the App Store to respond to criticism that controls strictly what developers can do.
Because the App Store is the only place where Apple allows iPhone and iPad owners to download the application, this developer said they were too limited in what was allowed to do on cellular devices.
One of the criticism of Apple’s biggest developer is an epic game, the online battle game maker hit Fortnite.
Epic has registered one loss against Apple in court, where the US district judges mostly side with the iPhone maker, said that it did not violate the antimonopoly law.
Both Epic and Apple have started their appeal.
In addition, Apple has hit a separate agreement with the Japanese Exhibition Trade Commission to allow the application of ‘Readers’ such as Netflix to add a link to the App Store website.
The change will take effect next year and apply to developers worldwide that provides access to magazines, newspapers, books, music and videos.
