This new arrival terminal is another step to improve the experience of infrastructure and passengers at Delhi Airport.
Operation of domestic arrival At present it will now move to a new terminal, which will allow calls to take the demolition of the existing arrival terminal, T1C.
“The new arrival facilities are equipped with four additional luggage carousels.
Pickup paths outside the terminal have been re-deposited and expanded by three to a total of 11 lines.
This will facilitate traffic congestion and significantly increase comfort for passengers.
Among other features in new facilities are modern toilets, large spaces between luggage belts, green plants in terminals with sufficient natural light, luxury ceremonies and VIP lounges, advanced galleries and modern food galleries, and spacious parking space for taxis , Taxis, private vehicles and shuttle buses.
As part of the iGIA phase 3A expansion project, integrated terminal 1, where the work is underway, will have a terminal arrival and departure under one roof.
The enhanced T1 will double the passenger handling capacity of 20 million to 40 million passengers per year.
After completion, the new terminal 1 will have an integrated arrival and departure terminal, retail housing new node and F & B outlet and a building dock consisting of 22 contacts.
An airport official said the T1 arrival terminal will immediately operate, but the integrated T1 will take time to be functional.
The expansion project below the phase 3a will help Igia to be ready for the future, because three airport terminals will increase passenger capacity to 100 million passengers per year, while air capacity will rise to 140 million passengers every year.
As part of the overall development plan below the phase 3a, the Dial has built a new and expanded T1 apron, the fourth foundation of Igia, Dual lifting Taxiways Cross Eastern (etc.) to connect the north and south airfield, land development for circulation and integration of connectivity and modification T3 functions.
