Rohit Roy has been a close friend of Hrithik Roshan for years.
They last shared the screen in the 2017 film ‘Kaabil’ in which Rohit played the antagonist.
But, in real life, they are best buddies.
So, when Hrithik got the news that his friend Rohit’s upcoming film ‘Broken frame’ has been selected at the prestigious ImagineIndia Madrid International Film Festival he was quick to congratulate Rohit.
“My friend Rohit’s latest Hindi short film Broken Frames directed by Ram Kamal has been selected at ImagineIndia Madrid International Film Festival.
All the best buddy @rohitroy50 Do watch this love story,” tweeted the celebrated actor.
The short film will be shown in the Competitive Section for Shorts at the festival.
‘Broken Frame’ which stars Rohit opposite Bengali actress Ritabhari Chakraborty has been directed by Ram Kamal Mukherjee.
The film is based on Mukherjee’s short story collection ‘Long Island Iced Tea’.
While Rohit might not have had a lot of film outings to talk about recently, the ones he was a part of, like ‘Kaabil’ and ‘Shootout At Lokhandwala’ have cemented him as an actor to watch out for.
He was last seen in
Sanjay Gupta’s ‘
Mumbai Saga’ and earned accolades for his natural acting.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan is among those Bollywood stars who have been making constant contributions amid the COVID-19 crisis.
The superstar recently made a significant contribution by supplying masks to a foundation working for the people in need.
Hrithik also came to the rescue of his fellow members from Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) recently as he donated Rs 20 lakh to the association and also gave away ration kits which helped out as many as 5,000 members who are below the poverty line.
