Chandigarh: Three people died while the other 12 suffered a sustainable injury in a collision between a truck and a bus in Panipat District Haryana on Saturday, police said.
The accident took place around 6:15 near the Khadi Ashram on the National Highway, they said.
The truck crashed into a bus from behind when it stopped to deliver some passengers.
The bus, brought most of the workers, was on his way to Patiala in Punjab from Azamgarh at Uttar Pradesh, police said.
The deceased, including a 18-year-old woman, was resident of Uttar Pradesh, a police said, added that the body had been sent for post-mortem examination.
Of the 12 injured, eight were treated at the Postgraduate Medical Institute in Rohtak, police said.
