Chandigarh: The couple, both of them are married to other partners, have approached the Punjab High Court and Haryana for protection against their relatives who oppose their “live-in relationships”.
The High Court has issued a notification to Gurgaon police who are looking for answers about this issue.
The relatives of the woman, who opposed the relationship and allegedly threatened the couple, was also asked to respond to this problem.
“Advice for the applicant has proposed that the two applicants marry somewhere else and now they are in direct relationships with each other and seek the protection of their lives,” observing HC while postponing this problem for July 27.

The Petitioner’s couple had searched for directions to the Gurgaon police for their living and freedom protection and to save them from unnecessary harassment in the hands of their relatives.

However, according to the applicants, women relatives are more aggressive about their relationship and have threatened to endanger their lives and freedom.

According to the applicant, they have tried their best level to convince their relatives but even so, they threaten the applicant that they will face terrible consequences to fight their wishes and will even kill them.
The applicant claimed that they had submitted a representation to the Gurgaon police on June 21 but they had not provided any protection until now.
