Gurgaon: Haryana on Tuesday cuts the price of RT-PCR tests for Covid-19 from Rs 450 to RS 299.
This is the lowest charge for Covid tests in the country, followed by Odisha RS 400, and applies to all private laboratories’ collection centers and Drive-Through Facilities.
Testing in government centers is not charged.
In the case of a collection of houses, rates for private labs have been repaired at Rs 499.
Previously, they could charge Rs 650.
The latest state revisions – the eighth so far – equipped with a display to increase testing.
On June 1920, all private laboratories have been asked to cut interest rates from Rs 4,500 to Rs 2,400.
On September 1, Haryana has reduced the RT-PCR test costs from Rs 2,400 to 1,600 Rs, which fell to RS 1,200 in October 3.
The tariff was reduced to Rs 900 on October 30 and again to RS 700 on December 9.
On January 15 this year, the state cut the Covid test price to Rs 499.
On May 11, they were reduced to Rs 450 and Rs 650 for a collection of houses.
“After taking into account the cost of consumables and private laboratory consumables, the state government has directed that there are no private laboratories that have to burden the amount of more than RS 499 for RT-PCR tests, which include GST / tax, if there are costs involved In pick-up, PPE, packing, sample transportation, documentation and reporting, “said Rajeev Arora, ACS (Health), Haryana.
Orders direct all laboratories to comply with guidelines and soups when testing Covid and take part in the protocol set by the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) and the Ministry of Health and family welfare.
“Non-compliance with this order can request a penalty under section 188 IPC,” the order stated.
Gurgae head Virender Medical Officer Yadav said all private labs and hospitals in the district have been directed to strengthen the revised accusation.
