Gurgaon: The government of Haryana on Tuesday said that it was preparing for a special action plan to reduce this winter air pollution in the ‘Critical’ – Gurgaon, Faridabad, Panipat, Sonīpat and Bahadurgarh district in Jhajjar Regency.
“We will issue a separate plan for the vulnerable area before the winter starts.
Every year, we see a lot of pollutants in these places.
The plan will underline what needs to be done and what agency will be responsible for implementing it,” said N Narayana, Secretary, Harmana Regional Polution Control Board (HSPCB).
Narayana added, “We hope that in the upcoming winter, we will be able to manage air pollution in a better way than the last season.” Haryana on Tuesday placed her plan to prevent stump burn and reduce air pollution in the region at a meeting with the Chair of the Air Quality Management Commission (CAQM) in NCR and a side by side.
Narayana told the Toi that the Winter Action Plan would be implemented after Haryana’s Secretary’s meeting with the Caqm Chair in the first or second or second week.
During the meeting, Caqm emphasized that the electricity department must provide a supply without interruption during the winter to avoid dependence on the DG set.
Steps to control pollution from construction and dismantal activities and prevention of vehicle emissions in the region are also discussed, officials said.
“The transportation department is asked to identify hotspots for congestion and therefore take steps to check pollution,” Narayana said.
The industry is directed at providing an effort to the pollution controller board stating that they will only use official fuel.
The agent was asked to increase alertness in the soil so that pollution sources, such as industrial piles and garbage disposal and illegal fuel use, were examined and punished.
The use of all technologies for dust management, including smoke weapons, must be used widely during this period, CAQM said.
Every year, the level of pollution in and around Delhi Spike in October, November and December, left residents in the NCR choked.
The Committee has asked Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and rises to prepare a comprehensive action plan to eliminate the practice of burning propellers to bring a controlled level of pollution.
On the basis of Burning’s stump incident last year, the Department of Agriculture Haryana had identified the villages of red, yellow and green.
The green zone does not have an agricultural fire incident, yellow has two to six agricultural fires a day while red has more than six incidents of burning stumps every day.
According to data departments, 332 villages in the red zone and other 675 in the yellow zone require routine monitoring.
