Kolkata: Higher secondary Bengal Council (WBCHSE) on Saturday said it would go with advice from the Ministry of Higher Education while deciding to introduce semester-based curriculum for grade 11 and 12 in the country’s council in the future.
Whether next year’s secondary examination will be held offline next year or will not depend on the government’s instructions and the Covid-19 situation at that time, the new WBCHSE said Dr.
Chiranjib Bhattacharya.
Safe! You have managed to throw your votelogin to see the results of the media recently reported that WBChSE might think about influencing the semester-based curriculum modeled on the Council for the Indian School Certificate (CISCE) exam and the Central Secondary Education Council (CBSE) in secondary courses Higher two years from next year or later.
“The council will go with what is recommended by the Ministry of Higher Education, what is suggested by the Minister.
Things cannot be considered only by us because there are many factors at stake,” Bhattacharya said to PTI, showing that WBChSE would not do its own reform in the year 2022 or 2023.
For questions about higher secondary examination modes next year, he said, “everything will be clearer later, depending on the situation (Covid-19).”
The state government on August 13 points to Bhattacharya, a pro-vice-chancelor of Jadavpur University, as the head of WBCHSE after removing the EAUA DAS from the post.
Development occurred after protests throughout the state in July by students who failed in a higher secondary examination.
The exam cannot be done this year because of the Pandemic Covid-19 and students are evaluated after an alternative assessment system based on the sign they obtained in the previous exam.
The number of candidates who failed to be pegged around 18,000 and they were declared passed after re-evaluation after the intervention of the state government.
