HSPA moves HC on the regulation mechanism for school fees

Hyderabad: Stating that the Government only gives direction to private schools about reducing the cost during the pandemic and hand washing the problem without establishing a mechanism to ensure the same implementation, Kadapa Venkata Sainath from the Hyderabad School Association (HSPA) has filed a litigation of public interest in the High Court urging him to ensure regulatory mechanism settings to regulate school fees in private schools in the state.
Even though the country has issued Gos asking private schools to collect only tuition fees and do not insist on other components, schools have never implemented this Gos, and ironically, the country has never bothered to check, he said.
“Schools now find innovative definitions of the word tuition fees because they include all other cost components in it.
They don’t give a broken out of this particular as it is done before.
They call all tuition fees,” he said, called it a cutting of court orders and the state.
Although the country is under the obligation to examine the affairs of all private schools to who complaints are accepted, the state has investigated 11 schools and strict actions not taken even in cases, where school errors were established.
By stating that maintaining an effective regulatory mechanism appears to be a single solution for now, the applicant urges the court to direct the country to bring such mechanisms.
He also told the court about the recommendations made by the Professor Committee Thirupathi Rao to reform the school and the absence of action.
The report was not placed before the state legislature until now, he said, looking for directions to the country to act on them now.
