Hubballi District Administration Prepares for free and fair polls to HDMC

HubbalLi: District administration has made complicated arrangements for free and fair HDMC selection to be held on Friday.
After being left by the ward, the number of wards has increased to 82 of 67, making the second largest HDMC corporation after BBMP in the state.
This is the first election after being discarded.
Active campaign ends at 7am on Wednesday.
The State Election Commission only allowed a door-to-door campaign to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The Excise Ministry has launched a special drive to curb illegal liquor sales during the election period, has submitted 74 cases in this relationship from 16 to 26 August and seized liquor and vehicle worth Rs 1.21 Lakh.
“Patil said the 842 polling booth was established in all 82 wards, where 108 had been identified as sensitive booths.
Security has been estimated in all booths and 3,704 staff from various departments have been deployed for election assignments.
Voters must wear a mask and keep social distance while waiting for their turn in the queue to vote.
Patil said those who had tested positive for Covid-19 were allowed to vote them one hour before the end of the vote.
“We have appointed Dr.
Sridhar Dandeppanavar as a nodal officer to make arrangements for positive people to choose.
So, positive patients who are interested must notify nodal officers on or before September 2,” he said.
Order obstacles remember the HDMC elections, district administration has enforced orders forbidating assembly restrictions or meetings in public places from 6am on Wednesday to 6pm on Fridays under the part 144 CRPC.
