Hubballi: For the past 25 years, Macaver Limb Center (MLC) from the Federation of Youth Jain India (Aijyf), Hubballi, has provided artificial limbs to more than 40,000 people.
Previously, the physically challenged people from North Karnataka would travel to Jaipur, Rajasthan, to accept artificial limbs.
They now get it for free in Hubballi.
The center has been respected with Swatantryada Amruta Mahotsav Rajya Award 2021.
Mahendra Singhi, the founding president of Aijyf MLC, said that the center was founded in 1995 to provide free services for rehabilitation of physical disabled people by providing artificial legs, grip, calipers.
