Hubballi: In the midst of increasing concerns over women’s safety, Auto Raksha Foundation (ARF), founded by the same-minded youth, has started a special autorickshaw service to dropping women safely at night in Twin cities.
Sunil Dishes, founder of ARF (Hubballi), told TII that after the recent rape case reported from MySuru, Hyderabad and other incidents, they decided to provide free automatic services to women at night so that their safety was confirmed.
“Before launching services, we conducted a survey in twin cities to find out the problems faced by women in reaching their homes at night.
Many of them appoint a lack of proper bus and car services.
They usually find it difficult to reach the house if they are alone or land in the city during the night after traveling from another place.
In addition, it is at risk for waiting for the bus or car on strange hours.

Describing their services, Sunil said they shared their drivers details, including their Aadhaar numbers, vehicle registration numbers, to those who were seeking our help.
We will also collect the details of women who call us, but they will be kept secret.
Now, we offer services with one autorickshaw.
The fleet will soon be upgraded to three and 15 bicycles.
If all our cars are engaged, we will use a bicycle to help callers, “he said.
In the last two days, they have dropped three women because they did not get a car or bus.” We will drop a woman in the city limit of Hubballi-Dharwad.
We also save a donation box in the car.
More than 15 people, who come from different professions, are involved in this service, “he added.
