New Delhi: Delhi police have arrested someone who cheated more than 100 leaflets at IGI airport.
The investigator said the defendant raised as a famous university student and then took money from leaflets with the pretext that he missed his flight.
The defendant has been identified as the Venkata Dinesh Kumar model, Andhra Pradesh’s native.
On December 19, a medical student Maulana Azad complained to the police that he was cheated by the defendant at Delhi Airport.
“One man is around 30 years old approaching the complainant and telling him that he came from Chandigarh and missed his flight connected to Visakhapatnam,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGIA) Sanjay Tyagi.
The accusation convinced the victim to pay Rs 9,250 to him and promised to return the money after reaching his goal.
“When a complaintion doesn’t return money even though there are several requests, a case is registered,” the officer said.
Allegations were accused when he tried to cheat other passengers.
