New Delhi: Chairman of the National Justice Human Rights Commission A K Mishra said on Wednesday that good democracy could not survive without respecting and protecting human rights.
Justice Mishra inaugurated the Commission’s 15-day internship program.
He said the concept of human rights did not rest a lot in legalese because it was embedded in our behavior and social practice, had spiritual tenor and tones.
He said India had a long tradition in connection with the entire universe, including all living things in ecology.
Therefore, it is necessary that we try to instill those values, which protect human rights, and not violate them.
More than 100 student internships from all over the country participate in internships.
