Tirupur: Tirupur District Police in Tamil Nadu has arrested a 66-year-old man to attack his sex with his 14-year-old granddaughter.
The man was arrested on Tuesday, eleven months after sexual attacks had occurred.
Based on the complaint submitted by the girl’s father, Police All-Woman Udumalpet registered a case below Section 7 (sexual violence) Read with 8 (penalty for sexual violence) Child protection from sexual violations (Pocso).

Police said that the complainant worked in the diamond polishing unit in Gujarat.
The girl was her daughter from her first wife.
The defendant was the father of the second wife of the complainant.
Sexual assault took place on March 3, 2021 when the girl was alone at home.

He also warned the girl not to reveal the incident to anyone.
The girl was afraid of the old man and did not reveal it to his stepmother and father.

His father felt that it was not safe to keep the child in his place of origin.
While leaving for Gujarat, he took the girl with him and left him with his relatives in Mumbai.
