A California man who was arrested with many knives in his truck near the Democratic National Committee headquarters in Washington made comments about races during his arrest, police said in court published on Tuesday.
“Why are you all interesting me when there are chocolate people who hurt white people,” said Donald Craighead, 44, during his arrest on Monday morning, according to a written statement in court by a police officer Capitol A.S.
Prosecutors demanded Craighead, from Oceanside, California, by having prohibited weapons that are prohibited, crime.
Around Midnight Monday morning, a police officer Capitol was patrolling when he saw a pickup truck with bayonets and machetes in it, and Swastika and other white supremacy symbols painted it, the police department said in the news release.
The truck was parked near the DNC headquarters, which borders the US Capitol complex, said the statement.
Crailighead said he was “patrolling” and began talking about the ideology of white supremacy, according to a written statement.
According to the police, when asked why he had a weapon, Crailighead stated: “I’m not many attackers.
I built a defense.
If I have to hurt someone I will really do it.” The judge on Tuesday ordered crelighead imprisoned until the next court date later this month.
