Thiruvananthapuram: Parassala police on Thursday arrested a man on charges of attempted murder after he allegedly dropped a heavy stone into a well where his friend works.
Police identified the suspect as Binu, 51, of Udiyankuoangara.
Shinekumar aka meth, 43, of Kaivanvila is the complainant in this case.
Both the suspect and the complainant were friends and co-workers who enter the profession to build wells.
Police said that the incident was linked to the case occurred on Thursday morning near Park Dhanuvachapuram.
Shinekumar located in the well that stands at the premise of the house one Vijayakumar and engage in construction activities along with another man, Bhuvanachandran.
Binu assumed allegedly took the stone that weighs more than 10 kg and dropped into the well.
Shinekumar, who suffered injuries, were hospitalized.
Bhuvanachandran escaped unharmed.
After this incident Binu immediately fled from the scene.
Police said that Shinekumar and Binu was not in good terms recently.
They fell early.
Shinekumar recently build wells in the compound Binu and she complained that Binu not quite afford.
It soon grew into a personal rivalry.
The defendant then tracked down and arrested by a team led by Station House Officer Inspector Parassala Sathikumar.
