Gurugram: The suspended train officer was arrested here on Saturday for allegedly strangling his 66-year-old brother-in-law, police said here.
Nirbhay Singh was found dead in his car on Thursday night, they said.
The defendant was identified as Bharat, was detained after complaints from family members who died, they said.
The deceased was a resident of South City-1, and previously run a business in Qatar, police said, added that he had settled in Gurugram just a few years ago.
According to his wife, Singh had gone to meet relatives at 6:30 p.m.
but did not return until late at night.

The family rushed to a private hospital where the doctor stated he was taken dead and the police were told.
Following the complaint FIR was registered in Bharat under Section 302 (punishment for murder) code Indian crime at the Sector Police Office 40 on Friday.
“We questioned Bharat and had taken him to police detention three days.
This motive has not been ascertained because the defendant changed his statement.
The active probe and images will be immediately cleaned, “said Surender Kumar, investigative officers.
