Chennai: A businessman based in Bengaluru, who runs a football club in KK Nagar in Chennai, was arrested on charges of deceiving 19 people from 2 crores promising to get a SUV with a 30% discount.
The accusation of R Navee, 31, runs a football club named Bharat Bengaluru Football Club in KK Nagar.
He told the club members that the car brand offered to sell their SUVs with a 30% discount on club members.
Trust him, some people including a man named Kumaravadival Paid Naveen 2.15 Crore for 19 cars.
However, after taking the money, Naveen went into hiding.
The police registered the case after Kumaravadivi approached the city police coming in this matter.
Naveen secured from Bengaluru.
According to the police, he admitted cheating.
He was returned to prison.
