Muzaffarnagar: A man was arrested for allegedly killing his father to establish a relationship with another man in the Khatauli area here, police said on Sunday.
Sumit Kumar told the police during the interrogation that he stabbed his father to death because he built same-sex relationships with other men, thus tarnishing family reputation, they said.
He also told the police that his father wanted to transfer his property to the man in a relationship, they added.
The reshpal body was found in the field of sugar cane on August 18.
After this, his son had submitted a case against three people who detained them for father’s murder, police said.
However, the investigation revealed that his son had killed him for his sexual preferences, they said.
