Gurugram: A man was arrested in Gurugram for allegedly having more than 1.84 kilograms of opium, estimated to be worth Rs 1 Crore.
The police also recovered cellphones and bags from ownership.
Arrest was ordered under narcotics and psychotropic substances (NDPS) acting and sent to police detention by the court on Monday, police said.
The man was arrested by a crime unit in sector-10 of the Krhyki Plaza Daula Toll located on the Delhi-Jaipur toll road after the police received a tip-off on Sunday.
Police said the suspect named RAM, a Jodhpur resident, was in town to sell narcotics.
As long as it is questionable, the perpetrators revealed that he had taken narcotics from Madhya Pradesh for potential customers in the city.
“We examined the criminal record and did he have been captured before.
The case under the relevant part of the NDPS law was registered with the defendant at the Kherki Daula Police Station,” said Preet Pal Sangwan, ACP (Crime) from Turugram police.
