New Delhi: The 36-year-old shop owner killed his employees allegedly threatening to drain the video he had recorded showing them involved in sexual acts, police said on Tuesday.
The defendant took the help of his nephew and other colleagues, to kill his 22-year-old partner and throw the body near the Sarojini Nagar Metro Station, they said.
The defendant, who runs a clothing store in Sarojini Nagar Market, has been arrested along with the other two for conspiring and throwing away the victim’s body after killing him, they said.
The shop owner, who married 14 years ago, has two children, they said.
The police said on Saturday, they restored the body of a 22-year-old man, Kodarma’s native in Jharkhand from the Sarojini Delhi area.
Police said the murder case was registered and during the investigation, it was found that the deceased was in a relationship with the shop owner and secretly recorded a video while involved in sexual acts.
The deceased also extorted shop owners by threatening to make viral videos and extort money from him, police said.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Gaurav Sharma said based on technical supervision, it was revealed that the victim and shop owner were present at the Sarojini Nagar Metro Station – which – near where the body was thrown away.
“In accordance with CCTV footage, the last deceased was seen living with the shop owner.
The shop owner was then questioned.
He told the police that to execute his plan, he contacted his nephew who came from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi,” he said.
The officer said the niece of the shop owner and his friend booked two rooms at the guest house in Yusuf Sarai in the Enclave Safdarjung area.
When CCTV cameras from the guesthouse were analyzed, both were seen carrying a trolley bag to the guest house.
They stayed there in one of the rooms while the shopkeeper went to Sarojini Nagar Market to take the victim.
“The shop owner, along with his employees, reached the guesthouse, as seen in the recording captured in CCTV cameras.
His nephew and his friend cut the nylon rope from the balcony guest house area used to dry clothes.” After 5-10 minutes, everything defeated the victim and nephew of the shopkeepers who strangled the victim with a nylon rope.
Then, his friend used his muffler to strangle him, “Sharma said.
They took off his shoes, jackets, and putting his body into a trolley.
They then threw away the body in a remote place near the Sarojini Nagar Metro Station and covered it with plastic.

The investigation team carried out a raid on Khurja in Bulandsahar and the nephew of the shop owner and his friend was arrested from there, the police said.
