New Delhi: A 38-year-old man was stabbed to death on Saturday morning in the Southeast Delhi Govindpuri area, police said.
The attackers have not been identified, they said.
According to the police, at 5:15 a.m., a call was accepted regarding the incident at Navjivan Camp in Govindpuri.
In the call, a girl said that some people had beaten her father and she lay unconscious, said a senior police officer.
A team rushed to the place and who was injured, Rajender Kumar, a resident of the Navjivan camp, was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead, the officer said.
There were no eyewitnesses for the incident, police said.
Kumar was stabbed five times and the case below section 302 (murder) from the Indian criminal code was registered at the Govindpuri police station, police said, added that the investigation was underway.
Kumar was a driver by the profession and was previously involved in a criminal case, they added.
