Gurgaon: A 34-year-old man attacked his 60-year-old mother for a property dispute and tried to commit suicide.
The victim and accused both of them to survive and are currently under treatment.
The accusation was identified as Ravi, who was the father of three children and lived separately from his parents for the past year.
He allegedly threatened his parents for two days when they refused to divide the property.
On Friday, Ravi, along with his brother Dayaram went to meet his parents in their home in the Gandhi Nagar area, where his mother was Santosh, Rajinder Bhatnagar’s father was present.
During the discussion about Payal’s marriage, Ravi objected to the bride chosen by his parents.
This caused an argument when the defendant began attacking his mother.
The rest of the family members tried to save him.
While Santosh warned to file a police complaint, Ravi took a brick and hit him.
He filed a complaint that Ravi disturbed them for property.
Based on complaints, a case has been registered under section 323 (causing wounds) and 506 (criminal intimidation) from the KUHAP Palan India at the Taman Rajendra police station.
A police official said, “The case has been registered and the problem is being investigated.”
