Gurgaon: A resident of Nai Basti has been tricked by Rs 1 Lakh suspected by a 20-year-old man with the pretext of helping him to withdraw money from the ATM.
Harish Kumar’s complainant said the defendant had transferred the number through 10 transactions of each RS 10,000.
A pine has been put forward at the Nai Basti police station.
Kumar, police said, had visited the ATM on August 16 to withdraw money but could not do it even though there was a repeat effort.
A unknown man in that place offers help.
The man allegedly took the Kumar ATM card and tried the transaction but failed.
After several failed attempts, the man returned the card to Kumar and left.
According to Kumar, as soon as he received 10 messages stating the total RS 1 Lakh had been withdrawn from his account.
The money, he said, was intended for his daughter’s education.
On Tuesday, FIR was registered under the IPC 379 section (penalty for theft) and 420 (cheating and dishonesty) in this problem.

“We’ve been, so far, collect details and documents from the bank from which account carried out by the transaction.
We hope to capture accusations immediately,” said a police officer.
